In the exhibition «Display Gardens» Kristin Wenzel deals with the city as a space of experience and architecture as a place in which memories can arise. The starting point is the unused, northern display on the station forecourt Lörrach Hbf, for which she created a work on site. The second part of the exhibition takes place in the galleryroom, where Kristin Wenzel presents architectural pieces in a poetical way. The work is placed in the context of the photographic work “remapping bodies” by the Romanian artist Vlad Brăteanu. “Remapping bodies” analyzes the conditions of plasticity, restraint and tension in nature.
